Nov 10 Promise Me This Christmas Book 4 of Bramble House Chronicles by C.J. Carmichael

Promise Me This Christmas Book 4 of Bramble House Chronicles by C.J. Carmichael
Back to Bramble House and the last of the year holiday guests have arrived.  One seems to be a grumpy guest and finds everything wrong.
another is a granddaughter and her grandmother. They are having a great time, even Larkin gets a job to write a story, and her grandmothers house is being renovated after the stroke to accommodate her.
Amy's long lost brother is also there, and he knows Larkin and they've had a relationship in the past.
Another couple want to help out.
With the new hire things are still going wrong with how things work at the inn.
So much is going wrong with everybody's plans but things do work out, maybe not the best. Love holiday cheer and everything there is to do during the holiday.
Great holiday read.

Book Review: The Dog Walker: Stolen by D L Maddox

The Dog Walker: Stolen by D L Maddox
Story follows Jane and she's a dog walker. It suits her and is safe where she lives. It's only a stepping stone. She then meets up with Margot from her past and persuades her to attend a showing of a painting. Jane was heavily into the art scene til she got jailed. We find out all about that and the mistakes she made over the years.  There are meetings and Jane decides that she'd do the job. She works with R and they each get a cut of the job. She has gotten a taste of what she had before and wants more of it. But why not take a few people out of the equation so she would get more money?
Super love the breath by breath move she makes during the heist. After hearing about the big heist in Paris a few weeks ago it's interesting to note the things Jane sees and hears and knows what to do with laser beams. During the scenes I could feel my heart rate rising as it did with her. So scary and yet so close to getting caught again.
After first heist she returns to her normal dog walking days to blend into the scenery.
So many twists and turns and never saw it coming out as it did , whew.
Super descriptive and I would read more works from this author. Can't wait

Book Review: Oswald the Almost Famous Opossum by Sara Pascoe

Oswald the Almost Famous Opossum by Sara Pascoe
This story follows Joey a boy of ten and he loves the wild animals and even allows them into his house. His mother does NOT like them at all. He's not got many human friends and he blames his mother for sending the father away and for sending the animals away. He has a school project where he was going to show all the animals tails and talk about how they each use them. Problem is animal control relocates the opossum but he uses his MPS and finds his way back to Joey. Joey has also gotten the chance to visit an animal sanctuary where he learns so much more about animals and their lives.
School project and all the animals parade into the school building and everybody is asking hwo Joey knows everything about them.
How love educational this story is and how it is so realistic. Love what the animals teach him.
Great story to read with grand children.

Dec 3 Book Review: The Taming of the Bachelor by Jane Porter

The Taming of the Bachelor by Jane Porter
Story follows Dillion Sheenan and he was a cofounder of Tutro Co. He had a choice, the company or his family and he selected his family. Years later the company needs him again and he's decided to head to Austin, TX to rejoin the company now that the management is under different people.
Paige Jolfe is a local diner owner with 2 children and her spouse Lewis died in an avalanche climbing Mt. Everest. She lives closeby Lewis family now so the kids can grow up around them and learn what their father was all about.
The bachelor auction found Paige decked out in her finest and Dillion had taken over the bar for the night. They meet after for some food and talking about their pasts. She doesn't want to start anything with him but is attracted to him, as he's leaving on Tuesday.
He doesn't want to dwell on her spouse and he is attracted to her. Love hearing of the scenery around town and nearby places.  She is almost 40 and he's in his early 30's and wants no family just yet. He thinks she is the right person for him....
Maybe he can help her get her faith back and things will get better ...she's been content to just have essential things, nothing for herself, but she wants him one night before he leaves.....soemtimes things just don't work out.
With her house problems and now her son he knows he really needs to be there with her to get over the hurdles... she pays him a surprise visit in TX!!!! Liked reading the other brothers stories and can't wait to read more. Loved the travel and the community and what they do together to make it a success.
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review

Book Review: AI Made Simple for Women Over 40: A Beginner’s Toolkit to Understand and Use Artificial Intelligence and Make It Work for You with Confidence and Ease by J. Lee Ander

AI Made Simple for Women Over 40: A Beginner’s Toolkit to Understand and Use Artificial Intelligence and Make It Work for You with Confidence and Ease by J. Lee Ander
What I like about this book is that it gives you various AI chat bots and tells you what each can do better than others. This helps you decide which one to use to ask a certain question. Also like the idea of having your Ai send out a group message and setting up a potluck dinner, asking for rsvp. Also sending a reminder a few days later to see whats being brought and who's coming.
So many examples from others with various issues and how they made AI work for them.  Still not sure I'd be sharing financial or helth information. Just like to keep some things to myself.
Great resource book about the various AI's out there. Comes with references at the end.

Laugh-Out-Loud Short Stories for Seniors : Hilarious, Lighthearted, and Just-Plain-Fun Tales to Tickle Your Funny Bone and Lift Your Spirits
by J. Lee Ander
Love this book because it really did make me laugh. Yes I've held 4 remote controls trying to figure out which one actually turned the TV to a differenct channel. Didn't know I had over 5000 channels to choose from, yikes.
Love the other examples especially those playing game with the whole family at a holiday gathering. So wicked fun.
Love how they encourage you to make your own memories and pass it along to others.
