Promise me Forever by Debbie Macomber
This story starts out with Joy and she's a physical therapist on private duty. Sloan is in a wheelchair and has lost all purpose to even try to get better.
With the things she does to motivate him it works and she gets him in the pool and even to work with his father and the family business. He still doesn't want to meet with his old friends
because he's changed since they hung out together.  Like the seagull and the part that is similar to Sloans and how it relates to each other.
Sad story when she knows it's time for her to leave...
other works by the author are highlighted at the end and an excerpt from another story is included.

Ranieri Andretti by Parker S. Huntington
Book starts out with other listings of the authors works. Authors note and foreword.
Store starts out with Carina and in high school and she has a best friend, til she doesn't any longer because of something that happens at her father's store.
Ranieri has always been there for her until his brother does something that ends it for him and Carina. It's a family feud where he can't tell her why they had to split up til much later in the book.
I don't like that the book goes to the present, then back 20 years then to the present then back 10 years. Wish I had read it in the order it happened.
Liked the twists and turns and thought they'd be more mafia things occurring.

Book starts out with meals and food categories for recipes.
Lots of intro material about how to make large quantities of food and what's best to use that also freezes well.
Some preserve recipes start with a title, servings and list of ingredients. What I Love about the ones I read through is that they are using fresh vegetables, NOT canned and lots of herbs and spices.
Directions are given and there are suggestions for deeper sauce or chunky sauce and how to put seasonings in for make it just right.
Tells you also how long the item will freeze for and how to make it once you take it out of the freezer.
Meal recipes start with a title and list of ingredients and how to make them. Doesn't tell you how many the item will make and there are NO pictures and there is NO nutritional information.
Like the idea of the added recipes, tomato sauce, salsa because you might not always have it on hand.
Book also includes further reading suggestions and newsletter sign up offer.
