Crochet for beginners : A Step by Step Illustrated Instruction Guide for Beginners with 10 Easy Patterns by Lily Chester
This book explains everything about crocheting. The tools you will need, differences of yarn weights, hooks, stitches and so much more terminology that is also discussed.
Easy to follow step by step instructions and I did think the illustrations could've been better and they are fine the way they are printed in the book.
I find the craft very soothing and calming, keeps the stress away with repetitive actions.
Also keeps your brain active with numbers of stitches you need, how many yarn overs to make the stitch, etc.
There are so many different forms of crochet and this book covers them all including swatches of what they look like when finished.
Most just learn the very basic stitches but others cna do other patterns, designs and offer other reasons why you'd use them.
Love the easy patterns that they include in the book.
Each pattern comes with a color photo of the finished item. Brief description, materials needed and instructions. Take your time, there is no rush to complete these in a n hour.
References are included.
A KEEPER to keep handy.
