Cowboy's Christmas Heart by Leslie North
Book starts out with Taison and he's tired of running the Christmas tree farm every year for the family. It was his mother's thing to do. He just wants to concentrate on his horses and breeding, building them a new barn, etc. He's trying to protect himself from females due to an ex girlfriend...
Story also follows Cassie who needs help from him to win a scholarship. He will help out at the tree farm and make it a bit more merry for him this year.
She's always wanted to finish her education but family obligations got in the way. She's voiced all this to him when they are working together at the tree farm. She has SO many ideas of what to offer the families that come to the farm. Food and fun things for the kids to do to keep the family there for a few hours. It is a success and he travels to get her a gift. She takes it all the wrong way and breaks up with him. When others talk to her she realizes she misunderstood his intentions.
It's a wonder they will get back together for Christmas.
Adult situations and this is great read.
