Echoes of Fortune: knights of the golden circle by David R. Leng
This story starts out with the trio and a friend gathering clues for their next mystery.
Zeke had called Jack with a message about a note from his grandfather's possessions. Like little clues that Zeke gives away without realizing what the others will make of it.
Priya is attracted to Seve and they hit it off right away as she's a computer wiz at finding things and hiding things through the computer.
What interested me without realizing it after I read the summary and first few chapters was that we are new to TN and had visited KY, specifically Jefferson David Monument with our son - another gem for me.
So many incidents/gems in all three books that I've read from this author. It's leading me into wanting to know more as I've walked the places mentioned in the books. Zeke hands them more information that what he things as they take him along. Little do they know why...
directions. Kind of reminds me of Oak Island and how they are trying to find treasures from the Knights Templar on the island. TV takes forever to tell the story. Love this book because it ends up the whole thing by the end.
Familiar with Templars, Masons, etc and now the knights of the golden circle although in a different era and time but still connected to what's happening in the present days of our country.
Another gem for me was mention of patriot missiles that Raytheon makes. They are right behind my house in Portsmouth, RI and I knew what they made during the time mostly from the protests outside their gates.
Love legend of who holds the two halves of the puzzle and how it all comes together and how the foursome are able to figure out the location of the treasure.
There is so much more involved going through Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, DC, New Orleans, etc.
They are followed by many who want to know what the group knows. Some are kidnapped for ransom and you wonder if they will ever make it out.
There are so many aspects to this story, mystery, thriller, espionage, treason, romance, travel, something for everybody to sink their teeth into.
Love paths they take to make it all happen and how they do the step by step process. Especially like all the compute tech going on as only certain people can keep up with the harm that is being done. Can they stop the threats in time?
The appendixes at the end really pull the story together as to who is who and what they have done to form the golden circle. Love dual time line also nestled in between real time present day story line.
Another awesome read from this author that I just found a few weeks ago. Can't wait to read more of his journeys.
