daughter got the yarn for me at her local dollar store for $1. it's a 12 oz skein

did research on the net and got a copy of the lengend of the sand dollar. it's a very religious symbol but i won't bore you with it here.

ive had to modify the pattern i originally got in crochet digest. i wonder if there were any corrections to the pattern from the book.

also tried the peaches and cream afghan but i didn't care how they made the cable you chain 3 sts and then work 3dc in that spot, then on way back you work the regular sc in back of the stitches.

tried also the carnival afghan and i can make cluseters that look like popcorn stitches so i got bored with that one and ripped it out.

ended up making some booties for the hospital.

got a bunch of crochetted seashells done this past week.

charity afghan, crochet

afghan: all i had to do was assemble the squares. they are made out of cotton yarn. should be big enough for a twin size bed for lucys hearth, the local womans shelter.
















also finished the other project for knit picks and started on some other crochet sea shells for the next craft show in october.

notice i have two landlines, even though it's not a lacy pattern if you do miss a yo here and there the whole thing gets messed up.

spring has arrived in RI. it's way early LOL Some parts of TN are getting snow today, it could be us but storm goes the northern most route for past week or we'd have 3 feet of snow now.

More flowers to come, can't wait to see the tiger lilly tulips.

sea shell pencil holders. these are fun to make, even getting the shells on the beaches. the problem was what to use for the putty stuff. some stuff i had bought never hardened. this stuff does and i do have spray to use to keep it shiny. hope it doesn't discolor and turn yellow. We got reservations to goto the island for the 15th.
