This book starts out with a table of contents where recipes are broken up into food categories.

Each recipe starts with a title, summary of the dish, servings, prep and cook times.
Medium size color photo and a list  of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
Directions are given and there is no nutritional information.
Some recipes call for a large amount of ingredients, be sure to have them all before you start. Like that some of the older pies, 1700's are given the name of a president.
Especially like the jelly roll recipe and would like to try carrot cookies and muffins there are so many different flavor combinations.

recipes do NOT always start at the top fo a new page.
Shepard’s pie would be my favorite to try. Italian pasta salad would be a great lunch.
4 weeks of meal plans are also included  along with a conclusion  about the book.

Like to try pizza sticks but there no amount of butter to use or any of the seasonings, i guess just a pinch or 1/4 tsp maybe?
Like little Caesar’s Italian bread sticks better, amounts for the seasonings and also making the dough yourself, rather than store bought.
Lot of restaurants I've never heard from being from the northeast of USA.

Tips listed tell you want to do and what it will accomplish, usually much better tasting meal.
Like the idea of partially cooking pasta then finishing in its sauce.
So many ideas to try, I noted a few of my favorite: potatoes boiling for mashing, change out water til clear. they won't be goopy.
Fish and chicken ideas as also great. getting a new rotisserie and it will be great to make chicken stock.
scrub potatoes and carrots and leave peel on, they’re clean and full of nutrients.
What a great read!  Try to remember them all they are all so resourceful and useful

There are a lot of different flavor combinations that I can't wait to try, very healthy. I'd be using fresh vs canned items and low sodium products.

Pictures have a very dark background hard to see the contents of the glass.
