This story follows Bj who's back from the rodeo and plalns to stay close to his home family ranch. He enjoys the work he does and even more now that Savannah is sheriff and she's talking to him again. She needs to find out more information about a death that happened when they were teens. It was the one night she had not joined the crowd and gone with them. Now as sheriff she has to get to the bottom and had even went looking for her brother to no avail. BJ tells her his side ot th e story and they combine forces and travel barn to where the barn stood. He is able to find an item that might help prove things or even who the person was that died. There is no DNA on who they think died but another is lead investigator.
One day her brother does show up and he tells a different story than BJ. Who does she believe and will stand behind...
Very good read as there's a mystery involved and how will the sherriff do the right thing?
Love this series and the landscape.
