Cordelia ahs run her familys castle ofr years after her mothers passing. Her father lost the estate in a card game. Graymont is now the owner and he and his crew stay in the castle. She and her brother and sisters stay in the lodge as she has sold off some items to make that possible.
Love hearing of the morning swim in the water. She has a lot on her mind and never expected to meet Graymont there. He makes her a wager about a ball she wants for her sisters and the community. Viola is a troublemaker and at every turn she's in trouble with how things are going. Cordelia and Graymont will keep the wager a secret. She ends up winning over him and he allows the ball to go on. At the ball things happen to make others wonder who he will marry. Emergency health issues arise th enext morning when Graymont is about to go swimming and his brother and sister are leaving. A shot is heard....
Never thought it'd end as it did, what a tale.
Great read can't wait to read the rest of the series.
