nan's irish fisherman afghan

this is a huge to make in one piece deep purple irish fisherman afghan.


i had to put in a few more patterns than i typically do but they blended right in.

the problem




comes when you go to photograph it.

can't quite get the details of the stitches or the color just what i do see.

outside is not much better. i could run it through the scanner to get the exact color, but it's such a huge afghan to do that .



although nan is blind she wanted a deep purple IF afghan to fit on top of her bed. she's not even 5 foot tall but so this will cover her a few times over.

used moss stitch, trinity, interlocking diamonds, cables and honeycombs.


was over 70" long and at least 80" wide

from super stitches knitting book, part of heart and star motifs, i only wwanted heart section. with infant hat pattern i was able to put 3 hearts along the body of the hat.

almost done with animal blankets for diane. was at hospital thursday so now i have more work for them to do. gonna be fun trying out new techniques-this comes in handy with my class work also.
