Before the Storm (Home to Clare Harbor Book 1)by Jacie Middlemann
Like this story because of the characters and what is going on. Sara is leaving her job to hightail it to her grandparents who live in a mobile home and the tornadoes are coming their way.
They told her they were packing up and getting ready to leave. She k
new better and finds them still at home as she was one of the last cars to make it over the bridge.
The other vehicle was a news reporter van with equipment and lots of staples to survive the storms. They just follow her to where the grandparents live to find a lot of others who don't want to leave.
She gathers them all up with food and supplies and shuttles them inland where she knows of a place that might be more stable than a mobile home...
She gets a lot of help from the news crew and is so thankful. Love how they gather the seniors and bring them to safety.
Love how Sara has so many connections and love how the men find other useful things. With the storm things heat up and there are so many more mysteries that are touched on-but not solved.
Next book excerpt is included. Like this series a lot because of all the variety of people, ages, mysteries.
Would love to read more from this author!

Christmas on the island by Jenny Colgan
Sounded like a good title and wanted to read this book as I've lived on an island during the holiday.
Narrater is from Scotland and has the accent to speak this book. Quite unique as I mostly listen to just English with no accents.
Story is set up about the location of the Scotland island and how life is during the cold dark winter days.
We find Flora has to tell her boss some serious news...There is a lot of talk about others as any island it's what keeps them going.
Highly sexually graphic. Enjoyed learning about others and their lives, the sex not so much.
Lots of twists and turns.
Recipes included.
