Large portion of the book is introductory material that talks about the dash diet and what it is and how to make your meal plan.
Each recipe starts with a title, medium size color photo, total time, servings.
List of ingredients and for the most part they are healthy but you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low sodium, low sugar, low fats, fresh vs. canned items.
Directions are given along with optional choices.
Different kitchen appliances are used be sure to read the full instructions before starting a recipe.

Problem I have with this cookbook is that the format changes for some recipes drastically so you know they are not from the author herself, that is my conclusion.

Directions are given and there is a bit of nutritional information provided: not sure which serving the nutritional information is for,
but has calories, fat-NOT broken up into good or bad, net carbs, and protein.
Some recipes have  fat calories, fiber, carbs and protein.
There are NO photos.
Some recipes are listed ingredients with bullet numbers in front of them, others have just the bullet itself.
one recipe lists some ingredients as oz. does that mean you only want one ounce of them? very unclear.
Recipes do NOT start at the top of the page.
Measurements are varied throughout the book, they are not always the same.
