Book Review: Her Knight Wore Scrubs by Lynne Marshall
Her Knight Wore Scrubs by Lynne Marshall
This book starts out with a note from the author about the writing of the story. Other works in the series are also highlighted.
Story starts with China, an ER nurse in LA at Mercy, INC. She runs many charity events always calling on help from many others to make the events a success.
Eric is a PA and his father is a Chief in the same hospital. Eric and China are often thrown together to aide those brought in to the ER.
What I love about this book is that I often will watch medical dramas on TV and never know what it is they are doing. This book explains about the thing they put on your finger and why, and all the other instruments they use and why and the reports.
China needs a MC for the big fundraiser and asks Eric and he accepts. While at the dinner her sister makes trouble and get Eric to donate money if China will go to dinner with him. They share many dinners and get to know one another.
Loved hearing of the teen driving event and how everybody pulls together to make it stick to the teens that you don't drink and drive. When she is having dinner at Eric's house a natural disaster happens and all they can think about is getting to the hospital to help others. Like a story where you hear both sides of the story.
Love their devotion. Their romance blooms until they spend time in bed and the lights go on and she panics because of the scar on her legs. She is adamant that he leave and never contact her again. She's not come to terms with her past and why her leg is the way it is.
She also tells him off about how he has to stick up for himself with his father....
They both need work to fix their past lives and you know it's never going to happen.
Action, adventure, mysteries, secrets, romance, medical scenes, just an all around good feel book.
Enjoyed this read and how others step up to help them achieve their goals. Can't wait to read more from this series.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
