We eat healthy and I'm looking for soups I can make with frozen vegetables from the garden this past year.

Herbs and spices have their own chapter and we must have over 30 that we use on a weekly basis. Will be interesting learning about how i can use them in soups. These are also specific spices and herbs and a summary of what they can for you and your body.
Each recipe starts with a title, servings and list of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low sodium, low at, low sugar and fresh vs. canned items.
Some recipes have a large amount of ingredients, be sure you have them all.
Directions are given and I am sure I can just put these all into my pressure cooker for 30 minutes and retain more nutrtients.

Some recipes they give directions for a slow cooker also.
There are so many I want to try and I have made a list of the ones, just about all of them.

Large variety of soups to make just wish it had pictures and nutritional information, but I know how to make them healthier.

Love flavorings as I usually just drop in extracts. Rather have fresh fruits as described in this book.
Can't wait to try a blueberry frosting, NEVER thought of that! Some of these flavorings I'd use on sugar cookies for the holidays, color coordinate flavor of frosting with that of cookie!
SO many varities to choose from, going to try a few and post pictures here after I make them.

Lots of introductory information at the start: meal plans and the fundamentals of the Meditterranean diet plan.
There are some charts and maps showing what you should be eating and the portion size. I also feel the diet also should include exercise and sleep and portion control which this book also talks about.
Each category starts out with a small color photo and there may be one or two more photos but the recipes do NOT always come with a photo.
Each recipe starts with a title, total time, prep and cook times.
Servings are listed and ingredients which you should be able to substitute for your healthier diet: low sodium, low sugar, low fat and fresh vs. canned items.
Directions are given but there is NO nutritonal information and only a few recipes per section even have a small color photo.
Bonus chapter about tips and sample of shipping list are also enclosed along with a note from the author at the end.
Bit disappointed that there are not photos for every recipe and NO nutritonal information. This would be a perfect, the only recipe book you'd need.

Lots of fresh vegetables to experiement with.
KEEPER for the jam recipes at the end, have lots of frozen fruits from the harvest this year.
