This story starts out with the three women who always spend a week together for vacation. All are single and the discussion comes up about what they'd do if they married, would they return to the cottage?

This story is about one of them and she finds a man there at the same time and soon is talking to her with interest. They have many things in common and she gets to spend time with him when he is rehabbing a bird, Scout.

Love the area and detailed descriptions. Like how it ends and pact the women make. Ends with excerpt from the author's works, listing of her other works and about the author are all included.

Loralein Downs by Kaitlynn Clarkson

This story starts with Alex and she knows she needs a change.  She sets things up so she can return and get her job back as a vet if things don't work out.

She travels with her dog where she has a job at a station. On her way there her car has a problem and a man, Rob stops to assist her, making a call for the tow truck.

After she arrives at the station she meets Rob again, the owners son and he is the one who gives orders as to who does what jobs. He was showing her around til she got a letter from home...

He misunderstands and thinks she has a boyfriend and wants no part of her.  When he asks her again she tells him who the man was ....

Love the parts where they are taking care of the animals and one another, even if it means firing a gun... About the author, social media sites is included, other works by the author are listed.
