This book starts out with recipes listed as meals, Intro discusses family gatherings, what makes them special, conversion tables, . Each chapter summaries on the first page.
Each recipe starts with a title, servings, List of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
some contain a LOT of items, be sure to have them all.
Directions are given. There are NO pictures and NO nutritional information.
Cheats and tips are also included at the end.
Really needs colorful photos, especially for the holiday treats.








Dictionary of Cooking Terms: For the Beginner Cook: Includes abbreviations, terms, and techniques by Paula C. Henderson
TOC has listing of the items to be further discussed, mostly foods items.
Alpha listing is shown with descriptions of how to do the certain terms listed.
Other sections included cheeses, herbs and spices,  different types of vinegar, 
List of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
Good resource book.

On this diet I'd not be frying anything...

There are only a handful of recipes, it's mostly intro material about the diet plans.

uses canned items, i'd rather spend extra 2 minutes to pick em fresh and dice them myself, NO sodium that way.
