Jul 11 Book Review: Rumors, Ruin and the Duke by Karla Kratovil

Rumors, Ruin and the Duke by  Karla Kratovil
Like that this book is like having two stories in one book.
Lucy has a protector in Hart, his father was her protector but he had died along with Robert, Hart's brother.
Story also follows Hart, his attraction to her but she's too young for him and he is on a mission to find out who murdered his father and brother. When he  gets a meeting before everything can be divulged the bomb explodes. He returns months later with poor vision and marks from the blast still on his face and arms, and body.
Harts great aunt Trudy is a great companion to Lucy but she's 77 already. He hopes Lucy will marry soon so her spouse can protect her so he can get on with the murder investigation.
Like the way the clues comje in and who Hart seeks for more information. He has the solution to keeping Lucy safe. He is able to learn so much more after that fateful day he lost his relatives and knows who the culprits are. Now to proof it.
Lots of excitement with balls, weddings, locations, descriptions, and  his enemies that turn into friends, explosions and helping others learn how to use the quarter staff, etc. So many surprises.
Such useful information. Great read, can't wait to read more in this series.
Received this review coy from the publishing company and this is my honest opinion.
