Sapphire Ice by Hallee Bridgeman
This story starts out with Robin, the older of her sisters. Robin works many hours at different places to make ends meet and also paying for her sisters to finish college. SHe's just a few months from being done with that obligation. She also suffers nightmares of the events that happened when she was young and her mother had gotten killed along with others. A drugs deal gone bad. She fought to keep all the girls together.
She's quite accomplished at Barry's a long time frined that his wife took her in and has always been there for them. She meets Tony and is taken with him but also stays away from him. He tipped her after a meal and she returns the money. She won't even take money from her sisters to help with food or rent.
Tony is very devoted to the church and his normal life you can find him negotiating to buy other places around town. He turns them around making them even more profitable.
Love how the phrases from the Bible really matter to Robn without her knowing why. She is finally able to open up to Tony and he loves it when she's welcomed into his church.
Love little moments they are together and with family and friends. So comfoting.
End there is a glossary of terms used and recipes form the book and also discussion questions.
Such heartache and tragic lives the girls have had. Love what life has in store for Robin and her sisters.
excellent read, can't wait to read the rest of the series.
