glossary and sample pictures of knit stitches

i call this eyelet staggered
row 1: k2 for border edge, * yo, sl1, k1, psso, k4, rep across, end with k2
row 2: k2, p across, end with k2
row 3: k2,, *k2tog, yo, k4, rep from * across, end with k2
row 4: k2, p across, k2
rep these 4 rows adding a few border rows at beg. and end of item

this is a staggered pattern. you start off by k5, p1, k5, p1 across

k4, p1, k5, p1, rep across

this is the trinity stitch:

on front row: p
wrong side row: p3 tog, k1 p1 k1 in one st, rep across

on subsequent wrong side row: k1 p1 k1 in one st, p3 tog, across row








honeycomb pattern
row 1: hold one st in front, k 1, work st held, k 2nd st on left needle, k first st on left needle and drop 2 sts worked.

row 2: p
row 3: k1 row
row 4: p back

row 5 : k 2nd st on left needle, k first st on left needle and drop 2 sts worked, hold one st in front, k 1, work st held
row 6: p
rep last 6 rows til desired length









k4 sts, p4 sts,
ws row: work sts as they are facing you, k the k, p the p
rep til 4 rows, then reverse the pattern









5 x 5 block pattern

k5 sts, p5 sts,
ws row: work sts as they are facing you, k the k, p the p
