Book Spotlight: I Will Never Marry a Cowboy by Aim Ruivivar

BOOK SUMMARY:

Everything is on the fast lane except Raven's love life. With her preconceived notions about the opposite sex, all the perfect guys have been gone... married. When her daddy buys a ranch away from the city, her younger sister Riley boarded her self on the fast lane too, by winning a cowboy's heart. Someone Raven could not imagine settling with. It will be her awkward discovery how city girls and country boys could end up on a saddle together.

AUTHOR BIO:

Aim Ruivivar has a degree in Behavioral Science major in Psychology and Sociology. Her favorite book is the Tao of Pooh written by Benjamin Hoff. She has it since the early 90's. It's all tattered and discolored but she holds on to it like a little girl's security blanket. She also likes Cinderella themed stories about the adventures and mysteries of the sensible unnoticed and true-to-self underdogs.

In her other alternate world, she is also an ebook romance author under the name Diana Salvador. One of her proudest writing ventures was being included in the Quarterfinals of an international screenplay writing competition.

If she is not teaching or writing, she is busy being a spoiled wife or watering her Mahogany plant named Cate and feeding her favorite pet bird named Purple Lee and eight other members of her flock.

Messy and unintentionally funny is how she describes herself. She loves simple things like music and old films. One of her ultimate goals in life is to be always kind to others.

MY REVIEW:

I Will Never Marry a Cowboy by Aim Ruivivar
First time author for me and I can't wait to read more of her works.
Story is a bonus for me because the book follows two sister stories. Each have different career choices and different taste in men.
Their father has bought a ranch and they travel back to it to learn about it, discover just what it is he bought and to be one with family.
The neighbors come by to lend a hand and it's a full out feast celebration as the girls drool over the men lifting heavy boxes and getting things into place.
Like the heated discussions and love scenes-it just goes so fast. What I mean is the author has pakced a bunch of things in this book among the pages that would take others 500 pages to tell.
Very descriptive details and love hearing of the food and other cultural things.
Love the outside adventures and the men roughhousing with one another-reminds me of our cousins and brothers horsing around. So realistic.
Liked the new words not commonly used in romance books, comedy that goes along with the storyline and how it all comes together and learning a bit about the adults career choices.
Wish there was a recipe or two included. Had my mouth watering!
Received this review copy from Wild Dreams Publishing and this is my honest opinion.
