Healing Faith by Pamela Gossiaux
Starts with praise for other works by this author.
Starts out with Rachel and she's on her way to Three Hearts Ranch where she volunteers her time helping others with disabilities, seen and unseen.
She learns she will have a new client and there is nobody else there to do it but her. It turns out to be an old boy from high school that she is still angry about how he left her to take all the blame, didn't get to walk to graduation nor go to the college of her choice due to losing the scholarship.
Chris is a returning Vet and he tries to hold onto his part time jobs but his PTSD gets in the way. He's got many ways to calm himself and this is a last ditch effort to cure him.
They are together with Kim, the owner when the Humane Society bring in Faith who doesn't even resemble a horse nor can she walk. They are able to spend time with the horse healing her, bringing her back to life and she in turn helps to heal each of them, without realizing it.
They spend a lot of time together and learn how the other has changed over the years.
Love learning of Rachel's other clients and what their problem are and how she can see signs in them that mean they could harm themselves.
When Kim is about the lose the farm they rally together and make things happen to bring others together to help. Love the ideas for fundraising-so interesting.
Just before the event Rachel loses her job and she's ready to just give up but she recalls things from others and her grandmothers Bible.
Lots of scripture passages are quoted, love they have 'faith' in them
Love how this book teaches me so much more to look for in horses and people. I can't believe how much I learned from reading this book from a lot of different angles.
So many emotions while reading this book, NOT very often I cry. I did in this one but also laughed so hard and out loud others questioned me and I had to share what was so funny!
Hoping one day it can cure my son from his PTSD problems. Love how today's' life problems are talked about in this book.
Saving Grace is also excerpted with one chapter Can't wait to read more from this author, especially this series.
I received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
The Winemaker's Wife by Kristin Harmel
Enjoying this read as I feel like I hit the jackpot, 2 stories in one book.
Ines is in France and wants to help not only the family wine business but also the resistance, by keeping Germans out.
Love hearing of the chambers underground, sound so cool to wander around.
They are also used in other ways.... she heads to her friends house sometimes spending the night and her path crosses with the Germans...
Story also follows Liv who's left her boyfriend and her aunt came to her rescue by taking her overseas.
She is fascinated by the grandmother's lawyer, who has papers for her. Liv has no idea what they are all about but one day at lunch the grandmother acts odd.
Liv is able to see the pictures on the walls and knows the grandmother was in one of the but is not sure of the connection.
At times very terrifying. Love how the stories come together, didn't see it happening at all!
Love this author's works, books are long but it's the story she tells that make it all super worth while. Can't wait to read more of her works.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
Loving Luke by Cecelia Dowdy

He fixes the bakery oven by looking up things are youtube, love the technology mention, and he asks Kim to help him with calculus.
They do spend time at her father's house and when they wake him up he tells his daughter not to date Luke...
Love hearing of the things the girlfriends all day after the holidays, so precious.
I received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Homeless for Christmas by Hannah Miller
Amish story that starts out with Nancy and since her mother died leaving her and her and her 3 brothers and father's he's not been the same. He spends money foolishly and they only rely on her working in handicraft shop.
She vents to her cousin often, she also owns the shop and both are good at handicrafts. The last week her father had traveled to buy some old buggies, he's to fix them up and sell them. Problem is he not only took rent money but they need to pay back the money to the Englishman.
She notices Will who's been doing things around Doreen's house for her as she is getting older and never married. Will had lost his wife after 2 years and he's been lonely and doesn't mind helping neighbors out.
When Nancy's dad shows up with the damaged buggies it's all she can do to yell at him. When he visits the owner of the house and comes back with bad news-they must leave as they don't have the money to pay him.
Besides moving in with Dorreen she also gets a job making meals for Will. She has listened to his problems and he to her problems. He wants to move forward and Nancy also takes a liking to him.
Harsh Christmas season and you wonder how they will make ends meet...
Enjoyed the story, a short one, easy to keep track of characters and storyline.
Tales from the viking age, captivating legendary and historical sagas by Matt Clayton
Enjoyed some of the legends and stories and some I found to be a bit confusing. So one man has 12 sons and they each have 12 sons and the names are the same in some cases and the story is only about one of them.
Loved the Vinland saga as it talks of the Norse and island up north and adventuring into Canada and things they find there.
Other works are highlighted at the end and offer of free books.
The Christmas Choice by Emma Ashwood
This story starts out with Penny and she's down on her luck. After her mother died her father took to drinking and ended up with no job.
He had found her money in the drawer that she was hoping to use for food.
On the way to church one afternoon she meets up with her old friend from embroidery school and Louisa wants to know of anybody who wants to be her maid as her last one left as a mail order bride and she's totally happy and not returning.
Penny thought about it and liked the idea so she writes to a man in Montana and after several letters has agreed to marry him. he's told her about himself and he sounds pleasing.
When she arrives a ranch hand, Billy picks her up and she's delivered to the house where not only will her husband live there but his mother and his other brother.
Day she arrives there is a housekeeper and cook so she is relived she won't have to be their servant. She learns the truth the next day after she's married and things grow dire for her.
She does find a friend in Billy and after her spouse dies from drinking she leaves with Billy, keeping to the forest til they reach a new town where they get jobs and hope to survive.
They meet others who help them along their way and are given so much in return for just being their friend. Like to hear of sewing shop and outcome of her mystery.
Land and scenes are brought forth in the author's words, so descriptive.
Temporary Dad by Lynne Marshall
Have read the other stories in this series and love the ideas they have and knowledge I learn from reading them.
Start out with Amanda and she's at the facility and will teach others about how to avoid heart problems. She is to head the class with a doctor who's late.A
When he does arrive he has a young baby in a sling with his briefcase and diaper bag. It also happens to be her ex husband Hunter.
Love the idea of the Mending Hearts and all it stands for-so much information on how a regular person can also gain the knowledge to prevent heart attacks.
They are to split the candidates, 10 women, 10 men in half and give them exams and get them set up with heart monitors. They put them through so many tests.
After a few days she sees just how exhausted Hunter is and she invites he and the child to stay at her place-get a few hours of rest/sleep.
He lives hours away from the satellite facility of Mercy, INC that after he leaves he soon returns as he needs a favor: pay her to stay there as it's just minutes from the facility and the baby can't tolerate the long drives with road work and collisions, delays.
She does accept them and they are able to still work together. She realizes that he'd make an awesome dad as he is with his sister's child who's going through depression.
Love how they are able to see early signs of heart disease and get the patients to the hospital in time. She is also able to talk to Hunter to find out where they went wrong...
She wants a child so bad but she's not told him of her life, the 3 years they were not together. Hunter is able to notify her parents when Amanda falls sick....
Enjoyed this book as I'm familiar with the series now, characters are all new but I can still learn useful medical knowledge of things crucial to our living style-there are so many aspects of good clean healthy lifestyle.
He also needs to get over his fear - a fear he learned from his father who could never tell him how proud he was of him.
Received this review copy from the author via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

She heads west to be the mail order bride to Richard Crandall but she is forewarned on the coach and other local places to stay clear of him.
She soon learns why and wants to escape him also. She falls in love with a man in town and sticks up for him as he puts his life in God and faith. She had given up on God but swore she'd reconsider if he'd help her, to save Duncan Andrews.
Lots of action and street fights, etc and you'd never imagine the ending happening as it did.
Fun short story.
Hometown Girl At Heart by Kirsten Fullmer
This story starts out with Tara and she's won the bid to renovate the building. It's a total disaster but that never stopped her.
She learns of a development for the resort that will be onsite and the problem with that is she finds him very attractive and it does funny things to her stomach.
Story also follows Justin and he likes to do things by a certain order. He has a hard time locating TJ and the town residents are very vague til he finds a record at the town hall.
They had gotten off on the wrong foot to say the least.
Really like this story because it explains how Tara does things her way-love the recycling or products she scavengers for-so cool! Like hearing how Justin does things his way, methodical and he finds something about Tara that attracts him to her.
Adult scenes are included. Love how the whole town shows up for the ribbon cutting and how fast things go. Justin learns the truth about Tara over time as to how she came to be in the town and does her work and why.
So patriotic and caring and he's like the total opposite. Can't wait to read more from this author.
Received this review copy from the publicist and this is my honest opinion.
It's A Storm Without God by Larry Taylor
Book starts with a dedication page then table of contents. Foreword is given by his aunt who cared for him for many years of his life.
Acknowledgements are included. Poem and introduction are included.
Story about how Larry has encompassed God in his life. He recalls back to when he was just a very young baby and some events that took place.
With the demise of the family unit the kids are removed and some stay together, others go to live with other relatives.
Things seem fine but only for a short time before the kids are relocated to another foster home. Cycle goes on and on.
As the author speaks of other family members he lets you know he could write a book on them only, maybe in the future?
Interesting the passages he uses that bring him to his life today and how accomplished he is.
Yearly chronicle of events occur and are discussed. Special remarks are listed at the end of the story: quotes, Bible passages, songs and his morning and night prayers.
Received this review copy from the publicist and this is my honest opinion.
The Place That Gave by Emem Uko

She loses her job at Health Trix because it was found out the ingredients included in with the food was not legal and quite harmful.
She then loses her boyfriend and she has no money for rent. She takes a vacation to Nigeria where she hopes to find a new life for herself and be able to remake it.

They become close because they are trying to avoid the kids but love playing with them as their mom is 8 months preganat. He tries to keep low under the radar of news reporters. He is also on the trail with clues of where to locate the Mkpo-ebot.

Received this review copy from the publicist and this is my honest opinion.
One Room at the Inn by Cheryl Bolen
Book starts with authors other works and synopsis of this story.
Story starts with Charlotte and she's down on her luck now that it's been almost a full year and no funds frm the widow pension she was to receive.
Her husband Edward had died in the war and Georgianna had delivered that message to her and to tell her if she ever needed anything to let her know.
She has just sold her wedding ring and she had to buy a winter coat for little Eddie as he gave his to a street urchin. When she returns to the apartment the locks had been changed and an eviction notice on the door.
She leaves to go find a way to get to Georgianna. Even the landlady won't let her young daughter has her doll... They leave with nothing but clothes on their backs.
She fears she will be caught as she runs from the store where she got Eddie his coat-she stole it as she didn't even have enough money...a man calls "Mrs. Hale" as she's leaving and looks at him.
Charlotte tells him she is not Mrs. Hale but Mrs. Lenning... She agrees to get in his coach with the children and head to the town she's attempting to get to-he is going to that town also to visit with his mother and sister Georgianna.
He never tells her his correct name either but his public name...At the first inn Phillip finds the room unsuitable as there is no heat nor lights. They head to the next one door the road and as there is only one room she and the children get it and he goes back to the first inn for a room.
Next morning he joins them for breakfast but he has weather problems and nobody is leaving the inn.... She has a few choices for him....
Love the parts where he is able to entertain the children and the games he finds as so educational and fun. He has a livery man show the children also other things they should know how to do-helpful for when they get older.
It's Christmas eve and his family has traditions that he tells them about as he hands over the toys he had bought for the Hale children. On Edwards deathbed he had promised to take care of them.
She is so desolate and wonders how she will even pay her share of the food and rooms....
Like this story for many reasons: the games played and things taught, location and descriptions.
Surprises so unpredictable for everyone as they head to Georgianna's house. Have read the other books in the series and they can be read ss a stand alone.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
1-800-SUMMER (Flipping For You Book 4) by Josie Riviera
This book starts out with Belle and she's in a foul mood because she has to relocate along with her business of horse lessons.
She teaches many children who are in dire need.
On the way to one of the horse lessons she notices a man at a balcony who is crying and she wants to help him but the traffic has freed up.
Megan, one of her students brings her father along and he was the man on the balcony. He is terrified of animals but the lessons are helping Megan.
When he hears they are to end he jumps at the change to help renovate her apartment and barn area so she can continue giving Megan lessons.
The rent is cheap and she can also afford the stable for their horse and her own. She relocates and he accompanies Megan often, but then there are other times He's gone for so long that she doesn't hear from him.
They start to get close to one another but when he leaves for work she has to call it off.
You wonder if they can continue with a long distance romance or just end it.
Love the treasures I found in this book: Scottish sayings, recipe, beach and horses.
Authors works are listed at the end along with an excerpt.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
The Girl from Trichy by Gita V. Reddy
Liked this story from the very beginning because she stood up for herself. She was able to gain help from her boss to keep her on although the HR didn't want to hire her.
HR also later tries to get her fired because of her dress code-the company had non and HR tried to say it was her boss that came up with the decision. Others in the office tell her otherwise.
She adapts and is happy with her work but her relatives want her to get married. After her boss leaves to go to the US for work she stays with her team for another year.
When he returns he finds her gone and asks others about her. He recalls when he had first seen her when they meet up again....
Found some words hard to understand and follow along at times and glad the author will add a glossary.
Enjoyed the story about India and customs and same problems we have here in US are what occurs there as well.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
The Mishti Doi Bride by Gita V. Reddy
Story starts with Uma and she works in the city and travels home late.
She often will have males try to trick her into believing they want to date her.
She had told her girl friend to just tell them the parents won't let her date unless the man wants to marry her.
When Sandeep shares a ride to the train and the next day back to the train she thinks he is up to something.
They do spend time together and her mother comes to learn more about him than she as she had told Sandeep she'd only date him if he wanted to marry her..
She doubts him and you wonder if she will learn the truth about the relationship over time.
Enjoyed this story as it taught me some things I did not know about India and customs and work ethnics.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
The Seduction of Laird Sinclair (Scottish Historical Romance) by Kara Griffin

He's mortally wounded and just wants to die with his weapon but the man that finds him knows his healer can fix him.

Dela is Callum's daughter and although she may not be his flesh and blood Violet wants to tend to her needs and takes care of her in the castle, keeping others away from her.
Others want to not only harm Dela but Violet as well. So many secrets and truth comes out and it's nothing is what it seems with the fireball above in the sky.
Callum's grandmother has a bit of knowledge and wisdom and leads him to find out the truth.
Edward comes to take Violet back to England but she convinces him otherwise.....
Adult scenes and at times things are confusing because of all the people being introduced. Family chart at the start of the story really helps keep things straight.
Enjoyed this book because I was able to learn some legends about thistle and makes sense as I've watched movies in this time frame, location, daily details of chores and gardening, strategy of fighting and outwitting others and I like a good tale. Love how guys banter with one another.
Can't wait to read more of this series.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.

They find such common ground and they are happy with their lives, moving forward. Menu offers all an item that thought was out of their reach.
After the tragedy we also not only hear from Phinn's life with his family but her side from heaven.

Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Sweet Dreams by Cecelia Dowdy
This book starts with a table of contents and then the story.
Sterling and his brothers are just coming home from burying their father.
He also learns he is the recipient of all the money from the will. It's up to him to figure out what to do with it.
He prays to God for guidance and to figure out if he should use it for the bakery or to share it with his brothers.
He figures his dad wouldn't want them to have it as were not named in the will.
He's busier at work than normal with an assistant. He does find time for the new woman moving in next door as she arrives in a truck with nobody to help her unload.
Adrian is a relative and blind so it will help him out also if the new woman, Misty can help with some of the things Adrian needs done.
Misty has a little girl and she wants her to go to a prestige kindergarten and is hoping to get a grant that will pay for the tuition. She also hopes to get a job at the soup kitchen as she used to help out.
She can't wait to go to her mothers and get her daughter right after she settles in. She also has a job as an assistant in the law firm so she's very busy.
As the story goes along Sterling is there for Misty when she needs help and he's in charge of the soup kitchen, not realizing she has NO skills at all.
Leticia is a thorn in his side and he thinks they will clash but they find common ground and help one another with skills each are lacking that the other knows about.
Both are attracted to one another and it takes time for the relationship to grow.
Enjoyed this read as there are just a few characters and new things, locations to learn about.
Didn't realize this was a series book, wish I had read it in order but I was not left in the dark reading out of order.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Never Ever by Gita V. Reddy
Story starts out with Raj and his wife Divya. Love how they are able to communicate without words as she is deaf. Seems all their friends are splitting up, some even getting divorced and there is a split in their own relationship lately.
Instead of talking it over they tend to walk away from one another. Raj had first mouthed divorce word to her and she felt it with her own hand so she figures he wants a divorce.
She takes matters into her own hands and until they talk she has her mind set on what to do...
Didn't see this ending as it did, things were in such turmoil....
Clean Regency Romance: Never Silly Sophie (Sisters By Marriage Book 4) by Jessica Spencer
Starts with a listing of the chapters then the story. London 1817 and we find Sophie is taking a ride with Mrs. Bridget Hastings, her mother.
She is always being told she has no sense and is silly....her adopted sister Isabelle is the one most favored and is sent to special high class school while Sohpie attends a nunnery.
They traveled from India to London and Sophie has been told a lot of different stories about her father and step father and she learns her mother disowned her as street urchins were harassing her...
She escapes and lands in Duke Christopher's carriage and finds a corner to sleep til she's discovered the next morning and brought in front of Christopher. He takes her under care but she runs away and saves a little boy from a carriage running him over.
The Barringtons then take her under their care and give her food, clothing and a beautiful room to live in while tending to the little boy, in their gardens. She is then kidnapped as her mother had made a deal with Jeremy but Christopher comes to her rescue again.
She overhears others conversations and will keep her distance from Christopher as she fears she's not in the same class and others will look down on them...He knows he is smitten with her and tries to keep her safe from harm and others...
Lots of drama as it is the season and so much gossip leads to other tales....
Things get complicated and you wonder who is going to end up with who...
Enjoyed the book but wish there were explanations to some of the words, the dictionary couldn't find them.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.

May 1940 in France
Having grown up near one another Bill and Jim had signed up for the Royal Air Force and have achieved great status.
They are on a mission as the pilot is being shot at from the Germans. They were to land near the lake but didn't reach there.
Jim and Bill were able to crashed onto the empty field. Jim was dragging Pete the gunman from the back of the plane.

Another plan is put into place and the men go to the town with them to help find a person and extract him to a safe location.
They spend the night at a top agents house. There's just a feeling and he thinks something just is not right in this town...
Lots of action and military talk as they conduct their business in a foreign country.
Interesting to learn of parts everybody plays in this endeavor.
Very lucky situations.
Ambushed Part 2 Last Plane out of Paris by Paul Moxham
Like in this story how it tells the daily things they do. The whole book is several days worth of events.
So scary at times. I can't imagine in front of a car with a torch to show them the way, yikes! Learned a few things as car disappears under the water.
Hard times when guns are aimed and fired and people get hurt, what a war!
Liked hearing about how they split up, several times, good strategics with good outcome.
Can't even imagine the lake and the outcome there, so drastic!
Very lucky situations.
Can't wait to read the rest of this series, has kept me up a few nights already!
Pursued! Part 3 Last Plane out of Paris by Paul Moxham
May 1940 in France
Once they meet up with Francois they are able to get away but there are others who are following them.
There's a handful of them left and as they are chased around town and other places that they have no idea where it is they are heading, they get hit by a car.
One of the pursuers went over the side but others get in the way of them escaping.
Pierre remembers something Marie had told him and they head to that location and some recuperate from their wounds.
Bill heads out to the mountain as he and Jim know the light flashings are morse code and they know what it says. They have no idea who sent them the message as nobody knows they are there.
So many scary parts with bullets and running off cliffs and you wonder if they will ever make it out of France anytime soon.
Lots of action, adventure, mystery, strategy to escape those following them....
Very lucky situations.

In this story the group plan to rescue Marcel and they learn who took him and why...

Very lucky situations.
The Mystery of Ghost Island by Paul Moxham
This book starts out with series listings of the authors works and praise for his writing.
Story is about the children and Will's father invites them all to meet his friend in France.
I can't even imagine all the fun places they are going to find: ghost island, caves, submarines, earthquake and paintings by a dear friend of theirs.
Children camp out in the yard and really get to explore the location and run in Quigley who loves the area himself. Love how he tells them of a location he's been to before, so much in detail they will be able to use it themselves.
As always the kids get intro trouble, run away, get caught, escape, etc...
Love how they reason out a problem til a solution is found. This would make an awesome movie because everything is described in excellent detail you can just picture it all in your mind.
Like how they find great places and people they meet.

The Mystery Series Collection (Books 7-9) by Paul Moxham
This set includes 3 stories.

The Mystery of Four Towers by Paul Moxham
This book starts out with series listings of the authors works and praise for his writing.
Story starts out where the children have raced to Darby's their favorite store. Will gets bored and there are no mysteries so he decides they need to just make one up and he concentrates on a man that sits nearby.
The children end up following him and they see later he's been kidnapped so the police are alerted and the real story comes out.
They next read about Four Towers and that it will be open the next several days to the public, for free. Kids set off to go explore and end up in one of the most fascinating mysteries ever.
Their friend from long ago has returned but he ends up going missing but he's also told them of a secret tunnel and how stones are pressed to make an opening accessible.
So many things to captivate their attention and help when it comes to times they are being chased. Love where this one leads as the girls are the ones in charge and have the big choices to make.
Jewels are up for the grabs also. I can just really picture this as a movie. The author describes it just perfectly, not only can you be there right besides them but you can feel the emotions they go through.
Wonderful ending, never saw it ending like this!

The Mystery of the Crown Jewels by Paul Moxham
This book starts out with the kids getting an unexpected visitor: Nadia from a previous book and they learn of the kings birthday celebration that they are invited to, in Monrovia.
Parents let them travel with her and they meet the circus people and are given a tour of where the jewels are kept. While the performance goes on the jewels are stolen and everybody is searched high and low.
Joe thinks the jewels could be in the lions cage because nobody would ever search there. He watches and sees the lion tamer with a ransack and he meets Mr. Chang and hands over the sack....
They follow and chase and a fire erupt almost killing one boy. Others come to the rescue.... for a bit..
So much more action as they trace the jewels and try to recover them....
Fire on the plane, blowing up, bridge falling apart as they cross and so many more dangerous scary things....
The Mystery of Smuggler's Cove by Paul Moxham
What I like about this book is that there is one brother and two sisters and they meet Will who knows a lot about the locale.
He shows them the caves and one day Joe goes by himself to investigate. Lucky the girls help rescue him later in the day..
When they go with Will another day they go far into the caves-reminds me a bit about game of thrones as they have caves and tunnels under the castles.
This one they learn is where men meet and bring boxes in and will go during night hours to bring the goods to the boats to sell to others.
Very scary that they are only kids. Almost like a Hardy Boys mystery so am enjoying it.
Reminds me also of our local rum runner smugglers off the beach via the drain pipes that are big enough to walk through.
Brave kids and like what they find out and where...

Ends up with them in FL and about to cross a washed out road....
Four parts to this story and can't wait to read the others.
Mayday The Florida Chase 2 by Paul Moxham
This story follows the first one with Luke and Jordan on the trail of finding their father.
They fear for his life while compiling the clues. Some times and events are scary, especially the hurricane near Key West.
I lived on an island and went through many hurricanes over the years. They get some help from the National Guard who are there to rescue others from the aftermath of the storm.
Very scary when the sea plane they take to Flamingo Island and an engine stops, then the other and they are still 11 miles from their destination.
Lots of new adventures in the midst of trying to locate their father. They know the bad men, the car they drive as they were thrown a bomb that said to leave, they were run off the road and other close calls.
Lots of new things to learn about as I'm unfamiliar with the area.
Such a cool story all the same.

This colorful rhyming children's book starts out with Josh and he's just returned from school and has been thinking about playing with his favorite toy all day.
He can't find his plane til he sees his sister playing with it and he yells at her which sends his father running to find out what's going on.
He softly tells Josh that he selected the wrong choice and how he should think before he speaks by doing a few things.
He has an option to choose worse or better. Next time something happens he remembers what his father said and chooses better and feels proud of himself.

When Max has a temper tantrum his dad is there to tell him what to do to calm him down.
Max has other things that also make him angry and frustrated but his dad is there to tell him what to do to calm him down.
This even works for adults. Love all the ways in this book to a great solution to the problems.
