Each recipe starts with a title, sometimes where it originated from=the country or part of a state, to far right hand corner, sometimes in a light shaded square, prep and total time, servings.
Some nutritional information per serving: calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbs and protein.
Main part of the page has a list of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
Directions are given. There are some recipes that have photos but they are not labeled and there are only a handful of these full page photos.
Quite a variety to choose from. These could easily be everyday sandwiches, but some you'd consider a treat.
GREAT ideas in this book!

Each recipe starts with a title and brief summary of the dish. Medium size color phot, servings, prep and cook times.
List of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sodium, low sugar and fresh vs canned items.
Directions are given and there is NO nutritional information.
My favorite to try would be minestrone soup but using ALL fresh ingredients and low sodium broth.
Beans i would soak overnight and cook the next day, NO canned items and NO sodium.
Lots of chicken recipes I can't wait to try my hand at.

Directions are given and there is NO nutritional information and NO pictures.
There are a large variety of foods from the Indian cuisine. Some ingredients you may find it hard to find like besan, it's a type of flour with chickpeas and gram flour.
Some recipe translate the name into English Recipes do NOT always start at the top of a new page.
I definitely do NOT know much about Indian foods and you should have an idea of what it is you are making and with what ingredients.
Nankhatai, sweet Indian cookies would be my choice to try, I have all the ingredients, sound simple.
There is a glossary of words at the very back.  along with techniques of how to do certain things to foods: cleaning crabs, or clams, steaming, wet grinding, etc.

Directions are given and there are a handful of full page color photos but recipes are NOT labelled. 
Hot dogs, I can't imagine how you'd keep them warm if you have to boke to a location about an hour away.  Same with fries. Different countries have their take on the variations of recipes.
Some of these would make an excellent side dish to a bbq at home.

Directions are given and some recipes have a full page color photo, a few every 10 pages or so.
Hand drawn sketches of food things are also included. Nice to see not only chicken is listed but other meats and poultry.
Never thought to make a stir fry from cranberries, quite the flavor combinations.
