This states it's heart healthy then why not use tomatoes fresh and dice them yourself and use low sodium broth or make it yourself?

Not sure why the recipes are NOT using low sodium broth and why use a can of tomatoes when you can buy fresh and dice them yourself-SO much less sodium that way.
Lots of recipes but you have to watch the ingredients.   28 day meal plan is also included.
